✨ From a dental chair to a data lab, see how Ahmed rewrote his career code. Ahmed, an AI & Mobile Application Developer, joined as an intern at IBM Egypt. He switched from dentistry to artificial intelligence and never looked back. Working alongside 50 interns, he helped launch generative‑AI solutions: 🤖 chatbots, 🌍 trip planners, 📸 image‑translation tools and 🎧 virtual tour guides. His standout project—a hieroglyph‑translation app—combined cutting‑edge AI with Egypt’s cultural heritage, proving that innovation can also preserve history. The effort earned him a spot among only eight interns invited to present to senior IBM leadership, a moment he calls “personal confirmation that the leap of faith was right.” IBM taught him to: 🔄 Adapt across diverse, cross‑functional teams, 🧩 Build responsibly‑scaled AI that solves real problems, 🤝 Prioritise clean code, rigorous testing and collaborative delivery. “The most uncertain paths often lead to the most meaningful destinations.” he says. Challenge limits like Ahmed. 🔗 Connect with a company that grows with you: https://ibm.co/6042EyBlQ #IBMAlumni #LikeanIBMer

🌟IBM’s first woman Vice President paved the way for female executives When Ruth Leach joined IBM, to demonstrate the electric typewriter at the 1939 San Francisco World’s Fair, she had no intention of pursuing a career in business. But the experience lit a spark that would not only change the trajectory of Leach’s life, but also open new opportunities for women in the American workforce. Is your story one of reinvention? Let us know in the comments how you used your skills to move into a different role... because that's exactly what happened to Teresa, who went from international relations to building AI literacy in the healthcare industry! Let's go back to 2022, when Teresa joined IBM's CIO. "It was the first time I was trusted to take full ownership of a product. Coming straight out of international relations, leading a technology project at IBM was transformative,” she said. Though it was a moment that changed everything. "That experience taught me that I’m stronger and smarter than I often give myself credit for, and it sparked my passion for technology and innovation." 💪💡 After two years in IT roles, she received a scholarship from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. 🇺🇸 "[IBM] laid the foundation for everything I’ve done since — from advancing in IT roles to earning my Master of Science in Engineering, Science, and Technology Entrepreneurship, and now leading transformative AI initiatives in healthcare," she shared. Teresa’s story stands out because of how boldly she chose to rewrite her own trajectory. It’s about recognizing talent in unexpected places and giving people the space to discover who they can become. 🚀 Transfer your skills to do incredible things at IBM, just like Teresa. Kelechi’s story is shaped by the power of mastering your craft. 🌟 It's a journey built on confidence, responsibility and continuous growth. If you were to ask what was a contribution he made as an IBMer? 🤔 Well, Kelechi migrated Interac (a solution for finance institutions) from legacy Avaya firewalls to Palo Alto Next Generation firewalls, it was a move that touched a huge part of Canada’s financial ecosystem. 🇨🇦 That trust wasn’t just responsibility, it was belonging. But the moment that changed everything was his first promotion in Canada which was a true validation of the trust that his team and manager had in him. That mindset stayed with him as he moved into his next chapter at Palo Alto Networks, expanding his expertise across SASE (Secure Access Service Edge), cloud security, and SOC (Security Operations Center) transformation - building on the same foundation of curiosity and mastery. For Kelechi, what makes him the proudest is the journey itself. ➡️ The wins, the failures, the mentors, the pivots, and the courage to keep evolving. This is what resilience looks like. 💪 This is what growth feels like. 🌱 This is what thriving quietly and steadily truly means. 🌟 🚀 Join our IBM Alumni Talent Network to stay connected. https://ibm.co/6045EH8S5 #IBMAlumni

💙 What if your career didn’t just start at a company - but became part of your family story? For Nicole, IBM wasn’t just an employer - it was home. With both parents spending more than 30 years at IBM, she likes to say she truly “bleeds blue.” And over her own 8‑year journey, she helped shape some defining moments of innovation and leadership. One standout experience was 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗢𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗚𝗼, a mobile app created to put learning directly into the hands of sellers - long before mobile enablement was the norm. Watching it scale across business units showed her, early on, how technology can transform the way people work. “Being part of this effort gave me a front‑row seat to how technology enables people—and how relationships with partners make innovation real.” she says: 🚀 Nicole also lead the 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. After months of planning, standing on stage to thank her team marked a moment of pride that still resonates today. “It cemented how powerful it is when a team rallies around a vision and delivers something greater than the sum of its parts.” Nicole says. IBM also shaped how Nicole leads. A deep investment in learning, mentorship, and curiosity instilled a belief she carries forward to this day: “I never want to be the smartest person in the room - I want to be surrounded by people I can learn from.” Since leaving IBM, Nicole has continued to lead at scale—holding executive communications roles at Change Healthcare, Optum, and now as 𝗩𝗣 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲, connecting 70,000 employees to mission and purpose. What makes her proudest isn’t the titles - it’s the 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀. Being a trusted partner. A leader others grow with. ✨𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 - 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. 🚀 Join our IBM Alumni Talent Network to stay connected https://ibm.co/6041D4ZRh #IBMAlumni

🌟 What if returning to a company felt less like starting over - and more like coming home to the place where you grew the most? For Adina, her journey with IBM has been exactly that. Her first chapter began as an SAP Consultant, working across energy and cement industry projects. Two years on assignment in Belgium shaped her both professionally and personally. “I improved the architecture, developed new data flows, and learned so much about SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and the energy industry,” says Adina. From rebuilding platforms to implementing a Business Warhouse solution from scratch – sometimes without trained consultants – she learned resilience, adaptability, and how to collaborate across cultures. These skills became the foundation for roles that followed, where she led teams, translated business needs, and navigated international environments with confidence. ✨ She came back to IBM and her return was one that brought her into a Team Lead role. Watching her team succeed together became some of her most rewarding experiences. At IBM, Adina found an exceptional SAP Business Warehouse community, plus new colleagues who shared her work ethic and passion. Today, Adina is a SAP BW/4HANA Technical and Team Lead in the automotive industry, thriving in a fast‑paced environment with a great team, meaningful impact, and endless opportunities to grow her German skills and her technical expertise. This time, Adina returns to IBM with more knowledge and confidence, where she'll shape solutions and navigate teams and clients towards success. 🌱 What made you return to a place that shaped you?
