Expert lactation support helps babies — and new moms — thrive. Too often, it’s not available. The telelactation model developed by SimpliFed, a Social Impact Funds portfolio company, removes geographic, financial and timing barriers, giving parents expert support wherever they are. The model was the subject of a year-long UMass Chan Medical School clinical study, which found that virtual access to lactation and infant feeding specialists has a positive impact on maternal and infant health outcomes. 📖 Read more: https://bit.ly/4hTzmr7

The Go Red for Women Venture Fund invests in a new technology designed to change outcomes in stroke care by addressing inflammation, one of its most critical drivers. The fund co-led an oversubscribed seed round in Aurenar, Inc, a company developing a non-invasive device to reduce life-threatening complications for stroke patients in intensive care by targeting the body’s inflammatory response. Its V-Link device will first be used in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage — a stroke that disproportionately affects women.
