Summary: I work as a career coach with emerging leaders and mid-career professionals who’ve hit a fork in the road and don’t want a default answer. My focus is on helping people think clearly under uncertainty—examining the walls in their heads to see whether they’re real constraints or just lines drawn long ago, and making deliberate career choices that feel both grounded and meaningful. I typically work with clients over 3-6 months, and also offer focused one-off sessions for specific career or leadership decisions. Sample outcomes I’ve been able to help clients reach: -Helped a 2X founder make a transition into a COO role in a new industry by co-designing a 90-day plan aligned with key values & priorities -Helped an Associate Director get promoted by focusing on conflict management skills -Helped a Senior Product Manager find work-life balance after 15 months of burnout without giving up on key goals-Guided a senior manager move from stuck to a fulfilling career pivot by co-creating action-based Tiny Experiments. I also mentor founders, leaders, managers, and individual contributors on decision-making. I’m the author of three e-books on decision-making and middle management (satyajitrout.gumroad.com/), and I write a Substack newsletter on decision-making, leadership, and career design (satyajitrout.substack.com/). In 2022, I was selected as part of India’s LinkedIn Creator Accelerator Program for my writing on decision-making frameworks. Before my coaching and decision-making practice, I spent 15+ years in corporate roles, where I built two global businesses from 0 to 1; led teams across India, East Asia, UK, and USA; grew service lines to $40M+ in revenue; designed org-wide variable pay program; and worked across M&As and startup investing as Head of the Cactus Accelerator.

Summary: Yes, I can. The first sentence I was taught as a Hotel manager when I joined the hospitality industry. That is what I have lived my life with since I joined hotels. It's been 20 years as a A Hotelier, and today, I can proudly say that I am the best GM to have. I have been acknowledged for my honesty, integrity, commitment and teamwork in every organization I have worked. To manage every guest in the hotel as 'one and only' is a tall order, and in my tenure, I have excelled in reaching that level of expertise. I have been instrumental in training the junior staff, correcting them and ensuring a cohesive work environment. A guest relationship job looks like a simple duty but ask a hotel industry expert, the first and most significant interaction with the guest is of a Front Desk officer. What have I done and achieved as a Front desk officer over the years? These are beyond the KRAs of an average officer, but my passion and commitment have always pushed me to do more and do better. 1. Contributed to growth of the business: turned enquires to hotel guests 2. Customer service – managing every customer the most special one 3. Saving cost by inventory management – saving operating expenses by reducing wastages 4. Improving revenue through upselling and billing management 5. Manage conflicts: amicably manage the guest complaints with a pleasant face 6. Manage teams: as an efficient FD officer, keep an eye on all on the floor 7. Managing large groups and complex guest requirements 8. Managing any hotel crisis with a positive attitude and calm demeanour 9. Honesty and integrity in the job 10. Showcase pride in the workplace because the GM attitude reflects the culture of the property 11. Meticulous planning and time management – the front desk is never free, and yet all jobs must be complete at all times 12. Ensuring continuous improvements through keep observations and regular feedbacks

Summary: If you’re a burned-out bottleneck founder, your business didn’t break. It outgrew your capacity.Hard work built the company. That part worked. What stopped working is using effort to solve problems that now require structure. More involvement. More checking. More holding it all together. I know this pattern personally.I’ve built businesses that hit six figures and collapsed under their own weight. I’ve rebuilt, scaled past seven figures, and eventually sold.I’ve lived both ends of the spectrum growth that looks good on paper, and growth that quietly burns you out. Since then, I’ve worked with 32 service-based founders running businesses in the $100K–$3M range. Different niches. Same ceiling. Together, they’ve added over $100M not by working harder, but by redesigning capacity. Most had already tried: Delegating (it created more work) Systems (they didn’t stick) Hiring “better people” (everything still came back to them)The issue wasn’t discipline or ambition. Most systems fail because they’re designed for efficiency, not human capacity. The business simply outgrew the container it was built in,and the founder was compensating with their nervous system. My work is about removing founder dependency without lowering standards. Not copy-paste systems. Not hustle culture disguised as leadership. Just structure that holds because it’s designed for human capacity, not heroic effort. If you’re reading this thinking, “This shouldn’t be this hard anymore,”DM me “CAPACITY.” We’ll see whether it’s time to redesign the container.
