Yogita Mathur’s Post

Honored to join as a mentor for SKU's Fall '26 cohort. Rooted in Austin since 2011, SKU is the original accelerator for emerging consumer brands - the same one behind Siete, EPIC Provisions, wildwonder, and DUDE Wipes. The last few of my nine years at Amazon were spent building and scaling the B2B Advertising business. My customers were a mix of shoppers, brands, and agencies, each at a different size and stage of maturity, and each needing something different: a simpler way to buy, brand growth on and off Amazon, a partnership to grow their advertiser portfolio. Meeting those evolving customer needs meant building the right team and ownership model, obsessing over the right input metrics, ruthlessly prioritizing the right experiences, and building the right tech. CPG founders juggle the same complexity: their own shoppers, manufacturers, and retail partners - combined with a growing team, P&L, and tech decisions. Different discipline, same muscle. Starting and scaling a business is a journey, even inside a company as big as Amazon. Excited to make the journey a little smoother for the founders in this fall's cohort while partnering with an impressive group of fellow mentors. Shout out to team WonderPop! (Mentors: Perri Gordon, Kristen Deshaies, Beth J. Brown, Karina Kromsov, Nate Challen, Robert Baldwin, Victoria Kopyar, Eric Reiter; Founders: Nupur and Aakash patel) #SKUMentor
