The amount of inference I've spent this weekend on planning docs vs code is 90:10. Code is fast and cheap now. The vision, roadmap, planning, UX design, system design, and prioritization matter so much more today. Moving 100x faster in the wrong direction means back pedaling 100x further before moving an inch forward.

Most Web3 teams don’t have a UX problem. They have a prioritization problem. They design: → dashboards nobody uses → features nobody asked for → flows nobody finishes Instead of fixing the one thing that actually matters: Can users complete the core action in under 30 seconds? If not — nothing else matters.

Small fix, big impact: your UI should never lie about where you are. Today we shipped a navigation bug fix in SixDegree. If you jumped from the Globe to Rewards, Email, or Pricing, the Globe tab could stay highlighted — which sounds minor until you’re moving fast and suddenly you’re second-guessing whether you’re looking at the right data. We switched the nav to path-based matching so every tab reflects the active route correctly. Amazing UX for complex SaaS products starts with designers who can deeply apply systems thinking to business needs, user workflows, and backend architecture. Here's a little refresher some different types of system design problems designers are uniquely poised to solve.

Most screens look good. But many still fail users. The reason usually isn’t bad UI. It’s missing UX checks before launch. Before shipping a screen, I always ask: • Is the primary action visible within 3 seconds? • Is the information hierarchy guiding attention? • What happens when things go wrong? • Can someone use this without instructions? Because good design isn’t about adding more elements. It’s about removing confusion. I broke this checklist down using a ride-booking flow inspired by Rapido Many polished interfaces still fail these basics. What’s the most common UX mistake you see in apps today?

The illusion: You're accountable for UX clarity. The reality: Roadmap decisions happen elsewhere. We're setting the table, hoping someone has a good meal—but we're not invited to dinner. You can recommend structure but not enforce governance. That's not authority. That's performance art.

Product maturity isn’t clean UI. It’s consistent systems. Example: User turns “Private Account” ON. Now what should happen? 1. Profile visibility changes 2. Follow requests become approval-based 3. Content visibility updates 4. Search discoverability adjusts 5. Existing followers remain intact If only the toggle changes, but search still shows the account publicly, that’s not UX polish missing. That’s system thinking missing. One action. Multiple dependent surfaces.
