At a time when sadly international development and international aid programs are being decimated, it was inspiring to watch this stirring and moving film at the Museum of Science. In addition to the remarkable achievements to conquer the 'Guinea worm monster' -the film reminded me that some crucial skills cannot be replaced with AI. President Carter’s vision, commitment, negotiation skills, and the teams’ advocacy, community and relationship-building abilities are uniquely human. Successful and resilient programs require listening, patience. Trust and empathy are intangible, priceless assets Maybe STEM students will also see that career avenues exist around the world.
