Exciting move to target autonomous car owners. Is Tesla the only brand eligible or can GM Super Cruise and Mercedes-Benz Drive Pilot offered by other car manufactures qualify as well? They obviously feel they have the experience/data with autonomous to offer a significant discount. This is the next frontier for insurance companies. What if FSD causes an accident? I had a *prospective* client ask me for a quote and his CLUE report showed that he had an injury accident large enough that it triggered his umbrella. When I asked him about it, he said that FSD took his car into an intersection when he had a red light and caused a 4 car pile-up. Obviously the human should have been smarter here, but still, at 50% of the rate of human miles, the insurance companies had to still pay out over $500k in damages, and probably well over $1m.
