🎧 What does agentic commerce mean for payments — and how can merchants prepare? At MPE Berlin, our VP of Product AI, Data & Insights, Marco Conte, joined the c-suite podcast episode “Risks, Readiness and the Road to Agentic Commerce: Insights from MPE Berlin” to share his perspective on how AI-driven transactions will reshape the payments landscape. Key takeaways from the conversation: ✅ Agentic commerce is still in early stages, but its impact will be massive ✅ Merchants should focus on readiness, not immediate rollout ✅ New challenges are emerging around trust, fraud, and liability ✅ The checkout experience will become more conversational and seamless ✅ Payment orchestration will play a critical role in managing new protocols and complexity As Marco puts it, it’s not about moving first or second; it’s about being ready to move. 👉 Listen to the full episode: YouTube: https://lnkd.in/dDjzmFvJ Spotify: https://lnkd.in/dErBDbyw Apple Podcast: https://lnkd.in/dvyvEEUw csuitepodcast.com: https://lnkd.in/dsfWzGju #IXOPAY #PaymentOrchestration

Agentic commerce is THE hot topic these days, but what's actually happening with it? Colin Luce from Basis Theory gave an honest take on the latest episode of the Real Talk Payments podcast: True agentic commerce where an agent transacts on your behalf with zero human involvement isn't here yet. But there are two areas where agentic commerce has real traction today: 🤖 Coding agents that need to autonomously purchase Twilio credits, compute, or API access to complete a task 📞 Customer support, with native payment flows built into AI-powered chat and voice systems. People seem to want AI-assisted discovery…but whether they want to actually complete the transaction in that same moment is a much harder case to make. 🎧 Check out the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/gZ8Ms_5P

Agentic commerce isn’t really an AI problem. It’s a data problem. In this clip, Georgios Kolovos (NVIDIA) explains why the future of agentic commerce comes down to understanding customer data and behaviour. There are already two early models emerging: Chat-driven commerce Where consumers tell an AI what they want and the agent finds and purchases it. Behaviour-driven commerce Where agents learn your habits and trigger purchases automatically. Think about it: If the system knows you buy coffee every two weeks… Why wouldn’t the agent initiate the order? But for this to work, one thing is critical: 👉 Turning payments data into real insights. Because without understanding the customer, agents can’t act on their behalf. 🎧 The full episode of The Payments Shed Podcast hosted by Justin Hanna & Grant Evans is now live. 🔴 Youtube: https://lnkd.in/eGJBtawj 🟢 Spotify: https://lnkd.in/ezW8KuF4 🟣 Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/egw2aZvP

🎙️ New episode of Practical Product Management is out! This week, Marilyn and I sat down with Ryan Dew, CPO at Thredd, to talk about what innovation really looks like when you're building the plumbing the entire payments ecosystem runs on. And yes — in a fun twist, Marilyn has just joined Thredd as CTO, so this conversation just got a little more interesting. 🎉 We talked about: 🔒 Why trust is the product — not the feature — in regulated industries 🏗️ Why platform PMs are the unsung heroes of every great fintech experience 🤖 Where AI is actually adding value in payments (and where the hype isn't) 💳 The real innovation in BNPL and other payments ideas — and what's just a UI layer on old rails 👉 Listen anywhere you get podcasts, or at PracticalPMPodcast.com #ProductManagement #Fintech #Payments #AI #Innovation #ProductLeadership #WomenInTech #Podcast #PracticalProductManagement #Thredd

Chat-based commerce is rapidly changing retail. When shoppers ask AI to choose, compare, and buy, the path to purchase can skip your website entirely. Online: full customer visibility. In-store: almost none. Omar Ebeid, Founder & CEO at Zeal, highlights a huge gap in payments today: 👉 E-commerce knows everything about the customer. 👉 Physical retail knows almost nothing. Online, you share: - Name - Email - Address - Purchase history In-store? 👉 Tap card. Walk out. Anonymous. And if a merchant does want to know who you are? 👉 They make you jump through extra steps: Scan a QR code. Open an app. Collect points. All while we’re entering the age of AI and agentic commerce. The question is: Why is in-store still so far behind? 🎧 The full episode of The Payments Shed Podcast hosted by Justin Hanna & Grant Evans is now live. 🔴 Youtube: https://lnkd.in/djriFgxp 🟢 Spotify: https://lnkd.in/d6WMcYtt 🟣 Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/deRyeCzG

At the end of every episode, we ask our guests to banish one thing from payments forever. This time, Will Plummer, CEO at Trust My Group, went big. 🗄️ Shelf of Shame: Chargebacks (as a concept). A system created in the 1970s. Largely unchanged. Still governing modern digital commerce. In sectors like travel; where friendly fraud is significant; Will argues there’s a structural imbalance that’s no longer fit for purpose. When the rules were written: - E-commerce didn’t exist as it does today - Digital evidence wasn’t what it is now - Agentic AI certainly wasn’t making bookings So the real question becomes: Has the chargeback framework evolved fast enough for modern payments? 🎧 The full episode of The Payments Shed Podcast hosted by Justin Hanna & Grant Evans is now live. 🔴 Youtube: https://lnkd.in/d5a4_g9u 🟢 Spotify: https://lnkd.in/dBS773ux 🟣 Apple Podcast: https://lnkd.in/dCQjXNqt
