Dennis Haysbert spoke with ComicBook.com about his new film "Time of Death" - and, after voicing several fan-favorite comic characters, wanting to play a live-action superhero (including Lanterns' John Stewart).
You've played, you know, presidents and athletes, police officers, soldiers. I mean, you literally played God. Is there a particular type of character that you haven't played yet that you'd really love to tackle one day? I would love to play a live action superhero. I played one in animation. Which is great. A couple actually, Yeah, you've you've been like Kilowog, Echo, Deal, Daki and the mall. And you were minute, right. And Sin City 2. So I mean, he's not a superhero, he's villain, but from a comic book. They have one on right now, man, which I've always wanted to do and it's and I won't be able to do it now. And Lanterns. And that's my, my, my new show. And I love the way they're doing it. I, I love kind of the gritty, you know, realistic way that they're doing it. And I said, damn, someone got there, did it before me. You would have made a fantastic Jon Stewart, if I do say so myself. Bless your heart. Maybe in another universe. You know they're dealing with the multiverse now, so.
