It was a pleasure to meet with Minister Juan Carlos Navarro and the MiAMBIENTE team in Panama yesterday, with Aurelio Ramos Borrero and Julio Montes de Oca Lugo. Panama's leadership on habitat restoration, bird conservation, and sustainable economic development is inspiring, with much more to come. And Panama's groundbreaking approach to integrating climate, biodiversity, and land degradation into one national strategy is incredibly insightful. There is no way to separate these issues on the ground - considering them holistically in policy, finance and implementation makes all the sense in the world.
