The UK’s under-16 social ban is a crisis for how live TV, reality formats, and sports engage audiences. For years, broadcasters have outsourced their community engagement to third-party apps—and for youth and families, that loop is now legally broken. This ban pushes broadcasters to own the second screen rather than rent it. I'm very grateful to have been able to share my thoughts in the latest VideoWeek feature on how this forces a shift away from external platforms and accelerates the value of building resilient, compliant engagement within the publisher’s own environment. #Broadcasting #CTV #SocialMediaBan UpTalkTV #AudienceEngagement
