Duke Energy Corporation recently received FAA approval to operate up to four drones with a single pilot Beyond Visual Line of Sight (𝐁𝐕𝐋𝐎𝐒). After receiving approval, our UAS training team led a three-week training program to equip our Enterprise Security personnel to use dock-based drones to protect critical infrastructure, seamlessly integrating them into daily dock-based operations. This major step forward in Duke Energy's use of technology will help to protect the energy grid and prevent potential threats. Congratulations to Danielle Grace and Koby Hansen on this achievement. This significant undertaking was made possible by the dedication of our exceptional training team. I extend my sincere appreciation to Garrett Scott, Robert Branch, and David Garcia for their outstanding contributions. 𝘞𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯!
