Last night we hosted a Dex Sessions focused on Forward Deployed Engineers and it was so great to see so many of you there! We brought together a panel of engineers doing forward deployed work at the highest level to get into what the FDE role actually is and what it demands. We covered: 🔹 What separates an FDE from a solutions engineer 🔹 What the technical bar really looks like on the ground 🔹 How FDEs shape product roadmap from the field 🔹 Why this is increasingly one of the fastest paths to founding or leading product functions The thread throughout the evening: a true FDE role combines the best of engineering with the best of solving real problems.
