💭 Reflecting on an inspiring International Women’s Day conversation with Dr Mandela. This year’s themes, Give to Gain and Rights. Justice. Action., invited us to reflect on how generosity, responsibility and collective effort can drive real progress for women and girls. Our session with Dr Mandela brought these ideas to life through her insights on leadership, legacy and the power of community action: "Leadership is through action, individual action and personal commitment to being a better person. If we are giving to gain, we have to give in many ways, through friendship, through mentoring. Charity begins at home." We explored what purpose-driven leadership looks like, how communities spark meaningful social change and the everyday actions each of us can take to advance equity and inclusion. Dr Mandela ended with a quote from her father that perfectly captures these principles: “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” A key takeaway: progress is a shared responsibility. International Women’s Day may be one moment in the year, but the work continues every day. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this thought provoking and motivating event. Let’s keep the momentum going. #IWD2026 #InternationalWomensDay #EquityInAction #Leadership #Inclusion #CommunityImpact

This was a great session - well done to all those involved. Thought provoking and incredibly interesting but with some great takeaways on how we give to gain and continue to push the dial on gender equality.
