Boar's Head Employees Raise Funds for All Faiths Food Bank Van

At our Devizes and Highbridge sites, supporting local communities goes hand in hand with reducing food waste. When there’s surplus stock of the delicious desserts made on-site, it’s donated to FareShare UK. And thanks to smart use of point‑of‑sale data, slower‑moving items from the on‑site shop - supplied by multiple sites are also redirected to where they’re needed most. South West Shop Team Leader Faye Wright plays a key role in making this happen. She works closely with local charities, including the Morland Community Hub and the Weston‑super‑Mare Food Bank, ensuring they receive regular and varied donations. 👏 A brilliant example of how our teams are strengthening community relationships while making sure good food never goes to waste. #communities #betterfutureplan

By redirecting surplus food, we empower local organisations to provide reliable access to healthy meals and essentials. The Raft Foundation (Rossendale’s Food Bank) put the importance of this into words: "It’s our privilege to help connect your donations with the people of our community referred to RAFT in need of support to access food. Working together we’re making a difference." Sponsor a shelf at the Foodbank 🌱🥫🍅 💚 In the UK, around 2.8 million people relied on food banks in 2023 – a stark reminder of the challenges many communities continue to face. The Alphabetical design team are proud to have partnered with Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank, volunteering their own time outside of the studio to help launch 'Sponsor a Shelf' – a donation programme encouraging businesses to help fund essential, everyday items for the community. The scheme helps provide fresh food and vital essentials that are often missing from general food bank donations, such as tinned meat or fish, eggs, UHT milk, and sanitary products. These items help restore dignity and wellbeing, while also promoting health and education across the local community. 🙌 Well done to all the ABC team who worked on this - we're all very proud of the work you've done. Food equity isn't about charity. It's about infrastructure. It means youth don't lose access to nutritious meals when school ends. Through The Pop-Up Restaurant and our upcoming Culinary Learning Labs, we're working to build that infrastructure in Wichita — not by swooping in with solutions, but by facilitating programs designed alongside the people they're meant to serve. Mental health is a vital part of our well-being, yet many people especially men,suffer in silence due to stigma and lack of support. Stress, depression, and emotional struggles often go unnoticed until it is too late. The Cycle for Mental Wellness is a community ride aimed at raising awareness about suicide prevention and the importance of mental health support for men. Through this initiative by Artvista Mtaani and Stand Out 4 Mental Health, we are encouraging open conversations, reducing stigma, and reminding people that seeking help is a sign of strength. We invite you to support this cause by adopting a cyclist or sponsoring a kilometer to help expand mental health awareness and community support programs. Together, we can pedal the pain away and create hope for those who need it most.
