I’m excited to share that Thryve Labs, our third spinout from Carnegie Foundry, has officially started a pilot project with the Barber National Institute in Erie, PA. This is an important step forward in our work to bring AI-enhanced caregiving into community homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. The goal is simple. Improve care. Support staff. Strengthen families. What excites me most about this pilot: • Passive AI monitoring that reduces paperwork and gives caregivers more time for real human interaction. • Data-driven insights that help create more personalized care plans based on what is happening day to day. • Better communication with families so they feel connected to their loved ones. • Tools that support staff retention and capacity, helping more people get access to the care they need without sacrificing dignity or quality. At Thryve Labs we believe technology should empower caregivers, not replace them. If we can make their jobs easier and the care experience better, everyone wins. More to come.
