Dimensioning a plan
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to revisit the subject of dimensions and focus on documentation. So in previous videos when we've used dimensions, we've used them as a modeling tool and they're very effective for that purpose, but naturally, we're also going to want dimensions that serve the purpose of facilitating our construction documents. And that's what we want to focus on here. So I've got this good example from the sample model here, showing you lots of documentation dimensions. What I'm actually going to do is delete some of these, and we'll recreate them together. So let's go to our Aligned Dimension tool, or DI is the shortcut. And let's start with the Individual References option. So, over here, you may recall that you can choose different preferences. So I prefer Wall faces for these dimensions, but if you would rather use Center lines or Faces of core, feel free to do that. Faces of core is useful if you want a dimension to the face of stud, for example. And…
