ABOUT THE ROLE
The VP Strategic Partnerships owns Dataprana’s most important customer and partner relationships. You will be responsible for turning our AI/HPC-ready site pipeline into long-term leases, offtake agreements, and capacity partnerships with neoclouds, hyperscalers, and major AI infrastructure buyers.
You will shape how Dataprana shows up in the market: defining our AI campus and phased-capacity offerings, building a high-quality opportunity pipeline, and closing landmark anchor deals that validate the platform. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, product packaging, and relationship leadership—and is ideal for a builder who has closed large, complex, multi-stakeholder infrastructure or capacity deals.
We are looking for a leader who has:
- Senior commercial experience in data centers, hyperscale, wholesale colocation, AI infrastructure, or strategic infrastructure partnerships
- A track record closing large, complex, multi-year capacity or infrastructure agreements
- A strong, credible network across hyperscalers, neoclouds, and the broader enterprise AI ecosystem
- The ability to structure long-cycle strategic partnerships, not just traditional transactional sales

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Structuring & Deal Execution
- Anchor Deals & Offtake: Secure Dataprana's first 100 MW+ anchor lease or offtake agreement in 2026 and build a repeatable pattern for future large deals.
- Deal Structuring: Design and negotiate complex deal structures, including phased capacity, campuses, multi-site portfolios, and flexible expansion options.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead commercial negotiations end-to-end, aligning legal, finance, and technical teams to close high-impact strategic agreements.
Pipeline & Relationship Building
- Build Opportunity Pipeline: Create and maintain a robust pipeline of active strategic opportunities with clear next steps, stakeholders, and value (target: 10+ active LOIs with neoclouds or strategic partners in year 1).
- Ecosystem Partnerships: Develop alliances with AI infrastructure intermediaries, integrators, and platform partners that can bring repeat business.
- Executive Visibility: Keep the CEO and leadership team aligned on pipeline health, deal status, and partnership risks/opportunities.
Productization of the Offering
- Package the AI Campus: Work with development, power, and operations to package Dataprana's sites into a clear AI campus / lease / phased-capacity product the market can easily understand.
- Commercial Collateral: Shape the narratives, term sheets, and materials that explain our value proposition, timelines, and technical fit to buyers.
- Feedback Loop: Translate buyer feedback into actionable input for site selection, design, and deployment priorities.
Strategic Partnerships & Market Positioning
- Advisor Network: Recruit and engage top-tier advisors, consultants, and industry veterans who can accelerate customer access, deal velocity, and market credibility.
- Own Strategic Accounts: Lead relationships with priority hyperscalers, neoclouds, and major AI infrastructure customers, serving as their primary executive counterpart.
- Define Partnership Strategy: Develop a focused strategy for anchor customers, repeat partners, and ecosystem alliances that support Dataprana's 5 GW roadmap.
- Market Intelligence: Stay close to buyer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics to inform product, pricing, and site strategy.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Experience: 5+ years in senior commercial, business development, or strategic partnerships roles in data centers, cloud, AI infrastructure, or similar enterprise/infrastructure environments
- Deal Track Record: Proven experience closing large, complex, multi-stakeholder infrastructure or capacity deals (e.g., multi-MW or multi-site agreements)
- Industry Network: Strong network across hyperscalers, neoclouds, and the broader enterprise AI ecosystem
- Partnership Structuring Experience: Demonstrated ability to design and execute long-cycle strategic partnerships, not just traditional short-cycle sales, for large capacity or infrastructure agreements
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of pricing, unit economics, and risk allocation in long-term leases, offtake, or capacity structures
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect Dataprana's capabilities and roadmap to the long-term needs of anchor customers and partners
- Execution & Ownership: Demonstrated ability to move complex deals from concept to close, coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (MBA a plus but not required)
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Data Center / AI Infra Depth: Deep familiarity with data center requirements, AI/HPC workloads, and how hyperscalers and neoclouds evaluate sites and partners
- Partnership Mindset: Experience structuring long-cycle, multi-year strategic relationships rather than one-off transactions
- Strong Communication: Excellent executive presence and communication skills, able to navigate technical, commercial, and legal conversations confidently
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Comfortable working across development, power, operations, legal, and finance to bring deals to life
- Global Perspective: Experience working with global teams or customers; able to navigate cultural and organizational complexity
- Builder Orientation: Enjoys creating playbooks, not just following them—comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration in a growth-stage company
LOCATION & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Primary Location: Miami, Florida (headquarters)
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid or on-site preferred; remote candidates considered for exceptional fit
- Travel Requirements: Up to 20–40% travel for customer meetings, conferences, and partner visits
COMPENSATION
- Base: $200,000 annually
- Performance Bonus
