Location: Onsite in Greenville, SC
Travel: About 25% regionally lto other plants
Salary: $225-300k base plus bonus DOE
Position Overview
The Vice President of Supply Chain will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the company's end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, supplier management, inventory, repair operations (including motor rewind), and ERP systems. This role is responsible for driving cost reduction and margin improvement, consolidating and optimizing the supplier base, improving supplier quality and on-time delivery, and protecting cash flow and EBITDA through disciplined inventory and purchasing practices. The VP will partner with cross-functional leaders in operations, finance and sales to translate business goals into measurable supply chain outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with corporate objectives for cost, service, quality and working capital.
- Lead global procurement and strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier selection, negotiation of commercial terms, and long-term supplier relationships.
- Drive supplier consolidation and rationalization programs to reduce complexity, improve leverage and realize purchase price variance (PPV) savings.
- Oversee repair operations and technical services (including motor rewind and other repair activities), ensuring efficient workflows, capacity planning and continuous improvement.
- Implement and optimize ERP systems and supply chain tools to improve demand planning, purchasing, inventory visibility and supplier collaboration.
- Identify and deliver cost-reduction initiatives and margin improvement projects that positively impact EBITDA and free cash flow.
- Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics (quality, PPV, on-time delivery) and lead corrective action and continuous improvement efforts with key suppliers.
- Manage inventory, safety stock and replenishment policies to reduce working capital while protecting service levels.
- Collaborate with finance to model and report the financial impact of supply chain initiatives, including PPV, cash flow and margin forecasts.
- Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing supply chain organization, fostering cross-functional collaboration and change management.
- Assess supply chain risk, build resilience plans (dual sourcing, inventory buffers, supplier audits) and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and corporate standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or Master's in a relevant discipline preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including senior roles with P&L or EBIDTA responsibility.
- Industry experience with manufacturing, motor rewind, repair operations, generators, transformers, industrial services, or outage-driven supply chain.
- Proven track record implementing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and improving end-to-end processes through technology.
- Demonstrated success in cost reduction and supplier consolidation programs with measurable PPV and margin impact.
- Strong financial acumen with experience driving improvements in cash flow, EBITDA and margin through supply chain initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of supplier quality management, on-time delivery improvement, and supplier performance metrics.
- Excellent negotiation skills, category management experience, and experience managing major supplier relationships and contracts.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and experience using KPIs and dashboards to drive decisions.
- Proven leadership and change management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to travel as required and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
