Vice President of Engineering

Relate Search has been retained to support a global industrial manufacturing organization in the recruitment of a Vice President of Engineering. This executive-level role will provide strategic and technical leadership across product design, engineering validation, and commercialization activities. The position is responsible for advancing innovation, strengthening technical capabilities, and ensuring engineered products, including HVAC-related solutions, deliver consistent performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all product development and engineering initiatives from concept through design, testing, and commercial release.
• Define technical strategies and development roadmaps aligned with business objectives and HVAC market requirements.
• Manage structured project governance, stage-gate reviews, and risk mitigation processes to ensure disciplined execution.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams to deliver scalable, cost-effective, and compliant products.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering and product leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
• Eight or more years of leadership experience in product development and engineering, including HVAC or related mechanical products.
• Proven success leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex engineered solutions to market.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, regulatory standards, and quality systems within HVAC or industrial environments.
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and executive leadership capabilities.
