Who You Are:

Vice President of Business Development is a critical leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives within the FMO Channel. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the financial landscape, a proven track record of success in business development, and experience working with FMO (Field Marketing Organizations).


How You’ll Contribute:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the financial services market, with a focus on FMO partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target FMOs.
  • Negotiate and close deals with FMOs, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure alignment and support for business development efforts.
  • Manage and track business development activities, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Oversee the development and management of business development budgets.


 What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development within the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing business development strategies.
  • Extensive experience working with FMOs, including a strong network of contacts.
  • Deep understanding of the financial services market, including industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.


The Fine Print:

Location:

  • Ideal candidate lives in Troy, MI or Tampa FL

Compensation:

  • $130,000 - $170,000 annually based on experience
