Tobacco and Cigarette Category Manager

Position Summary

The Category Manager supports category strategy and execution for tobacco and cigarette products. This role focuses on pricing, promotions, vendor coordination, compliance, and data analysis to drive sales and ensure regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Process promotional billing, vendor rebates, and support vendor setup

• Maintain and validate pricebook data including item setup, cost, and retail pricing

• Conduct sales and margin analysis to support category decisions

• Manage promotions, planograms, and merchandising updates across systems

• Support planogram creation and store resets and rollouts

• Coordinate product distributions and track delivery to stores

• Monitor loyalty programs and store-level execution

• Collaborate with wholesalers and vendors to ensure accurate product flow

• Ensure compliance with tobacco regulations and pricing requirements

• Manage manufacturer programs and track rebate and incentive performance

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in retail, merchandising, or category support

• Experience working with regulated products is a plus

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Excel and retail systems

• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
