The show presents a modern, locally grounded approach to news, featuring reporters and content contributors who live and work in the community. Produced by Oktant Productions, a New York–based production company with deep leadership experience in news, “The Loop” blends trusted journalistic standards with innovative storytelling.
The Role
“The Loop” is looking for reporters who value contextual depth over the breaking news grind. You will have the editorial independence to own your stories from start to finish, using advanced production tools to handle the logistical heavy lifting so you can focus on high-level community storytelling.
Provide community perspective for the Tampa Bay area by owning interconnected beats for daily and long-term coverage.
Operate as a self-contained unit in the field, identifying, filming, and filing your own reports.
Deliver conversational, authentic reports with the ability to ad-lib off script.
Requirements
Based in Tampa, Florida
Deep-rooted knowledge of Tampa Bay neighborhoods, people, and community stories.
Technical ability to produce field content and the editorial judgment to manage a story from pitch to completion.
Tech-forward mindset that views new systems as a way to enhance storytelling.
