Job Summary:
Ridge IT Cyber is seeking a skilled Okta Engineer to design, implement, and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Okta and a strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices. This role will play a critical part in securing enterprise systems and improving user access experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage Okta-based identity and access management solutions
Configure and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and lifecycle management
Integrate applications with Okta using SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
Manage user provisioning/deprovisioning and directory integrations (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP)
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations
Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to enforce access policies
Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
Support incident response related to identity and access issues
Document configurations, processes, and procedures
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Hands-on experience with Okta administration and implementation
Strong knowledge of SSO, MFA, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
Experience integrating cloud and on-prem applications
Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, or LDAP
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Okta Certified Professional or Administrator certification
Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.)
Experience in cybersecurity or consulting environments
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Required Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen by Birth
Able to pass Top Secret Clearance Background Check.
