Position Overview: As the SVP of Post-Closing, you will direct the strategic evolution of the post-funding lifecycle, ensure the structural integrity of a high-volume portfolio originations while architecting the infrastructure for secondary market execution. Your primary mission is to design and implement a dual-track operational framework that optimizes internal booking for portfolio assets and ensures "sale-ready" precision for fixed-rate, GSE eligible products. By spearheading the coordination of document custody and mapping seamless file review and loan delivery protocols, you will provide the institution with critical balance sheet liquidity and market agility. You will lead a high-performance organization dedicated to compressing the timeline from loan funding to loan servicing, transforming complex regulatory and custodian requirements into a streamlined competitive advantage.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • 35% - Direct departmental operations and mentor the team to align performance with organizational objectives. Cultivate a high-accountability environment focused on continuous improvement and the professional growth of staff.
  • 20% - Act as the final authority for resolving complex closing and title discrepancies. Proactively identify quality trends and hold internal teams and external partners to rigorous standards of excellence to minimize institutional risk.
  • 20% - Architect and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure document integrity and quality control. Maintain a forward-looking stance on regulatory shifts to ensure the department remains "audit-ready" at all times.
  • 10% - Oversee departmental adherence to internal audits and quality benchmarks. Serve as a primary liaison for external regulators (NCUA, CFPB, FHLBA), ensuring all post-closing standards consistently meet or exceed federal requirements
  • 15% - Partner with peers to translate business strategy into operational execution. Represent the department in cross-functional initiatives and industry events to keep the organization at the forefront of market trends

Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience managing multiple high-functioning teams within the mortgage industry with a minimum of 5 years specifically concentrated in post-closing, closing, underwriting, or servicing operations.
  • Proven ability to direct departmental operations and own the execution of functional strategies to achieve short and mid-term institutional objectives.
  • Comprehensive expertise in state and federal real estate regulations, including GSE standards, TILA-RESPA, HMDA, ECOA, UDAAP, Flood, and Fair Lending.
  • Preferred experience with MortgageBot (LOS), ICE MSP (Servicing), and OnBase/Image Flow (Imaging).
  • Possesses an analytical mindset with a demonstrated track record of leveraging data to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to influence organizational practices and articulate strategic initiatives to senior leadership to secure buy-in and achieve departmental goals.
  • Strong aptitude for cross-departmental cooperation, maintaining a balance of professional empathy and effective communication with vendors, colleagues, and members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Arts, Accounting, Management, or other substantial professional experience in a senior leadership capacity may be considered in lieu of a degree.)

Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Substantial professional experience in a senior leadership capacity
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and other analytical tools.

Job Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • This position is an in-office position with some remote flexibility.
  • Some lifting, pulling, pushing up to 20 lbs
  • Prolonged work on computer
