The ideal candidate for the Studio Manager position is a highly organized professional with experience supporting the day-to-day operations of a professional recording studio. This role is responsible for ensuring the studio operates efficiently by maintaining a best-in-class environment for artists, clients, and guests while supporting recording sessions, internal teams, and special events. This position will work closely with the existing operations, A&R, and studio teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering an exceptional studio experience.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the recording studio, ensuring all spaces are prepared for sessions, meetings, and events
Set up and maintain studio ambience, equipment, and common areas to provide a premium client experience
Manage inventory and restocking of studio supplies, snacks, beverages, and hospitality items
Coordinate catering and meal orders for recording sessions and meetings
Welcome artists, clients, and guests, providing a professional and hospitable experience throughout their visit
Assist with recording session setup and coordinate equipment needs with engineering staff as required
Maintain organization of studio equipment, supplies, and storage areas
Manage the studio calendar and coordinate scheduling with internal teams
Communicate regularly with A&R, operations, vendors, property management, and other external partners
Oversee equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, studio cleanliness, and security
Assist with the planning and execution of studio events, including setup, vendor coordination, and breakdown
Track studio-related expenses and assist with operational budgeting
Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming studio environment at all times
Provide administrative or executive support as needed
Some evening or weekend availability may be required
Some travel may be required
Qualifications
2+ years of relevant experience managing or supporting operations within a professional recording studio, creative facility, or similar hospitality environment
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
Experience coordinating schedules, vendors, and day-to-day facility operations
Fundamental understanding of Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other workplace productivity tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset
