Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

Hi! We’re looking for a software engineering intern to join us at Garage next summer.

About Garage

Garage is the modern marketplace for heavy equipment – starting with fire trucks and firefighting equipment.

Today, equipment bought on Garage already serves millions of Americans across all 50 states, helping cities stretch their budgets further.

We recently announced our $13.5M Series A, which followed our $4.5M seed round last year, and have been growing quickly. Our small team (ex- Twitter, Ramp, Goldman Sachs, Whatnot, PayPal, Honey, Gopuff) is obsessed with user experience and shipping products end-to-end. As a software engineering intern, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our team, reporting directly to the founders and CTO. We work on projects ranging from our AI appraisal tool to listing page UI design experimentation.

Requirements

• You’re a builder.
• Ability and willingness to work in-person in NYC.
• Readiness to learn and be curious.

• Strong side projects.
• Desire to serve customers in local governments and emergency services.
• Ideally a rising junior or senior.
  
  

About The Interview

• We do an intro call over Zoom.
• We give you a take-home assignment.
• We do an “onsite” (virtual or in-person in NYC) where you meet more of the team.
