About The Role

The Social Media Consultant will provide content publishing and digital engagement support for Way Creative Studio, helping execute day-to-day social media activity across the studio’s platforms.

This consultant will work collaboratively with the Content Director and creative team to ensure content is published on schedule, optimized for audience engagement, and aligned with the studio’s messaging and digital strategy.

This role is well suited for a digitally fluent consultant who understands social platforms, internet culture, and progressive media ecosystems.

Scope of Services

The Consultant Will Provide The Following Services

Content Publishing & Platform Management

  • Publish timely approved content across designated social media platforms aligned with campaign content schedules
  • Ensure posts are properly formatted, tagged, and scheduled
  • Coordinate with the social team to align on messaging and amplification timing

Copy & Post Development

  • Draft or adapt captions, headlines, and post copy for social platforms
  • Adjust messaging to meet platform best practices and tone

Community Monitoring

  • Monitor comments, platform trends, and emerging digital conversations
  • Flag notable engagement, platform moments, or potential issues to the team
  • Provide light community engagement support when appropriate

Content Support

  • Assist with clipping, formatting, or light editing of content for social distribution
  • Maintain organized content folders, shared assets, and publishing schedules

Performance Awareness

  • Monitor post performance and engagement trends
  • Surface notable insights or platform issues to the Content Director

Consultant Qualifications

Ideal Consultants Will Have

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media management, digital organizing, or content support
  • Strong familiarity with major social media platforms and online trends
  • Clear writing voice and good editorial judgment
  • Comfort working with political or advocacy-related content
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Experience using basic social media and content tools (native platform tools, Google Drive, scheduling platforms, etc.)

Time Commitment & Structure

  • Estimated 15 hours per week
  • Independent contractor engagement
  • Remote work environment
  • Some schedule flexibility required for time-sensitive content publishing

The consultant will coordinate regularly with the Content Director and Creative Studio team to ensure timely execution of content and digital engagement priorities.
