Overview

A leading electrical construction and engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) to lead complex design projects across mission critical, commercial, and institutional facilities.

This is a high-impact technical leadership role, supporting projects from early design through construction and commissioning, while mentoring a growing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead electrical system design across all phases
• Oversee power distribution, UPS, generators, lighting, and life safety systems
• Perform and review studies (short circuit, arc flash, load calculations)
• Produce and review design deliverables (one-lines, specs, Revit models)

Team & Project Leadership

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers
• Drive project delivery across schedule, budget, and quality
• Lead QA/QC processes and enforce engineering standards

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Lead design meetings and communicate technical solutions
• Support proposals and preconstruction efforts

Construction Support

• Conduct site visits and surveys (5–10% travel)
• Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support commissioning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related)
• 7–10+ years of electrical design experience
• PE License required (or ability to obtain)
• Experience in data centers or mission critical projects strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and SKM/ETAP (or similar)
• Strong knowledge of NEC and relevant electrical codes
• Proven leadership and team management experience
