The ROLE:

As the Senior Director of Trade Marketing North America, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our innovative, inclusive, and expressive brand to life at Sephora & Ulta Beauty. Reporting directly to the GM of North America, you will be instrumental in developing and executing Milk Makeup’s retail marketing strategy, ensuring it resonates with our diverse consumer base & brand DNA. This role requires a disruptive understanding of marketing, a curiosity + passion for beauty and the ability to thrive in a fast moving and highly creative organization.


What YOU’ll do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop & amplify 360 degree retail marketing that aligns with brand vision, and ensures strong “go to market” collaboration and execution.
  • Retail Partnerships: Serve as the primary marketing liaison for retail partners. Work closely with retailer brand marketing teams, Milk Marketing , & Milk Sales Account partners to ensure we develop best in class market programming that drives market share, rank, and retail sales success in Sephora & Ulta.
  • Drive Sales & Market Share: Support Account leaders with programs designed to drive revenue targets across Sephora and Ulta. Ensure marketing programs to drive sell-through, market share, and ranking improvements.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Support monthly performance analysis across retail partners, identifying opportunities to optimize conversion, traffic, and sales. Present actionable insights to executive leadership and cross-functional teams to facilitate business decisions. Ie Evaluating launch performance & marketing programs to optimize ROI to inform future choices.
  • Merchandising + Digital Depth: Own end-to-end retailer.com experience, including PDP optimization, search visibility, digital merchandising, and content strategy to drive traffic and maximize conversion and consumer engagement. Collaborate closely with Marketing and Digital to develop comprehensive paid media strategies.
  • Campaign Innovation & Execution: Lead the ideation and execution of disruptive campaigns that drive brand awareness, affinity, and loyalty across all consumer retail touchpoints.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Creative, Product Development, & Finance to create synergistic retail marketing initiatives that are submitted to retailers on time for best in class deliverables.
  • Budget Ownership: Manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of spend across programs, accounts, campaigns, & coop to maximizing ROI.
  • Community and Culture: Embody and promote Milk Makeup’s culture, inspiring the team with your commitment to our values and vision.


We’d liked YOU to have:

  • A passion for the Milk Makeup ethos and a deep understanding of the beauty industry’s retail landscape. 10+ year experience in prestige beauty.
  • Proven experience in retail marketing, with a knack for strategic planning, execution, and analysis. A proven track record with a successful Sephora brand a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills & collaborative spirit with the ability to inspire and influence teams both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of crafting and delivering compelling marketing narratives. Own & Lead all retailer market meeting & go to market decks for North America.
  • Ability to travel for retailer meetings, events, and activations. Desire to work in the office every week Tuesday – Thursday and remote Mon & Friday.
  • A collaborative spirit, adept at building strong relationships with internal teams, retail partners, and external agencies.
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with diving deep into data to extract insights and drive decisions.
