Role Overview

We are looking for a Scrum Master who resides in the Phoenix, AZ area to support a cross‑functional delivery team working on a banking client’s Account Opening Modernization initiative. This role is responsible for ensuring Agile best practices are followed, removing impediments, and enabling consistent, predictable delivery across technical and business teams. This is a full time role with benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, sprint reviews)
• Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum best practices
• Partner with Product Owners to manage backlog refinement and prioritization
• Identify and remove impediments impacting team delivery
• Coordinate across dependent teams including Full Stack, Data, UI/UX, and Business Analysis
• Track sprint progress, metrics, and delivery risks
• Foster collaboration between technical teams and banking stakeholders
• Support compliance and documentation needs typical of financial services programs

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery environments
• Experience supporting technical delivery teams (engineering, data, integration)
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks
• Experience working with tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Strong facilitation and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent)
• Experience in banking or financial services
• Experience supporting modernization or integration-heavy initiatives
