Scrum Master

Paragon IT Professionals is seeking a junior level Scrum Master (1-3+ years) of experience for a long term contract. This is a hybrid role with our premier client in the Des Moines area.

This is a hands-on Scrum Master who thrives in fast-paced environments and is comfortable wearing multiple hats. This role goes beyond facilitating Agile ceremonies as this person will help keep sprints on track, support multiple teams, turn delivery data into clear insights for VP-level stakeholders, and partner with Engineering Managers and Product Managers to maintain well-organized boards.

Duties:

• Lead sprint execution, including planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring teams stay focused and unblocked

• Track delivery progress against milestones and provide clear, concise status reporting for VP-level stakeholders

• Partner with Engineering Managers and Product Managers to maintain and optimize feature and backlog boards

• Support multiple teams at once while balancing priorities and delivery timelines

• Analyze delivery metrics (velocity, throughput, capacity, dependencies) to guide planning and leadership updates

• Build and maintain lightweight automations using tools such as Copilot and Power Automate to reduce manual effort

• Continuously improve team processes, tooling, and reporting clarity

Skills Needed:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to context-switch across multiple teams

• Experience creating executive-level reporting and translating delivery data into actionable insights

• Working knowledge of Agile tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms)

• Comfort working with data analysis and dashboards

• Experience with—or strong interest in—automation tools such as Copilot or Power Automate

• Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership

Nice to Have:

• AI project experience
• Healthcare or insurance industry experience
