Senior SAP Security & BASIS Administrator

Full-Time | Remote | USC or GC Holder – NO C2C

We are partnering with our client to identify a Senior SAP Security & BASIS Administrator to support and strengthen their SAP environment with a strong emphasis on security governance, access controls, and compliance. This individual will play a key role in maintaining SAP security standards, managing roles and authorizations, supporting audit initiatives, and contributing to overall system reliability. The position is well suited for someone who brings deep hands-on SAP Security experience and is comfortable supporting BASIS related activities within a collaborative, cross functional environment. This role offers the opportunity to influence security best practices while working closely with functional teams, infrastructure, and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for SAP Security and BASIS related operational support, projects, and system enhancements

• Design, build, test, and maintain SAP roles and authorizations aligned with governance and Segregation of Duties requirements

• Perform user administration including provisioning, de provisioning, access changes, and emergency access management

• Support audit and compliance activities and partner with GRC and audit teams on remediation efforts

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, tickets, and system related issues in a timely manner

• Apply patches, kernel upgrades, and support packs as part of system maintenance activities

• Support system refreshes, client copies, and system copy activities

• Administer SAP landscape including production, QA, and development environments

• Manage and coordinate transports across environments using Transport Management System

• Monitor background jobs, interfaces, and overall system availability

• Support performance monitoring, tuning, and system health checks

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on OS, database, and cloud integrations

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and future state enhancements

• Conduct gap analysis and contribute to delivery of new functionality aligned with best practices

• Support ancillary systems and collaborate cross functionally across modules

Qualifications

• Strong hands on SAP Security experience including role design, authorizations, and user administration

• Working knowledge of SAP BASIS administration and system operations

• Experience supporting SAP integrations and interfaces

• Experience supporting audit and compliance initiatives including Segregation of Duties analysis

• Exposure to SAP ECC and or S4 environments

• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Experience working with project methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches

• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

• 5 plus years of relevant SAP experience

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Security and or BASIS certifications

• Advanced degree in related field

• 8 plus years of relevant experience

• Experience supporting large SAP transformations or S4HANA implementations

• Experience in manufacturing, food manufacturing, retail, or related industries

• Experience with Pathlock or similar SAP security tools
