Position Summary
The West Regional Controller works closely with Platform Partner Presidents and Site Controllers to provide financial transparency, margin integrity, and decision-support analytics. While Site Controllers report directly to their Site Presidents, this role provides functional alignment, guidance, and financial consistency across the region.
The West Regional Controller serves as a recognized leader with expert-level knowledge in accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance, making authoritative recommendations and guiding regional finance personnel.
Key Duties And Essential Functions
Oversee and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across regional sites.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.
Review regional consolidations and validate reporting accuracy.
Maintain consistency in accounting treatment across decentralized operations.
Support corporate financial reporting requirements and audit processes.
Support capital planning, cost visibility, and working capital oversight.
Provide leadership and coordination to Site Controllers across the region.
Promote standardized practices in:
Revenue recognition
Percentage of completion
Job costing and project accounting
Inventory valuation and controls
Service margin reporting
SG&A allocation methodologies
Review forecasts and assumptions to improve financial predictability.
Plan, organize, and guide finance-related projects and regional initiatives.
Assist in consolidated regional budgeting and forecasting processes.
Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and prepare reports to support executive and operational decision-making.
Administer and reinforce internal controls across the region.
Oversee audits of policies and procedures designed to safeguard organizational assets.
Ensure adherence to GAAP and corporate accounting standards.
Monitor compliance with financial policies, segregation of duties, and risk mitigation practices.
Monitor and improve:
Accounts receivable (DSO)
Inventory management and turns
Billing accuracy and milestone tracking
Accounts payable processes
Support cash flow forecasting and performance tracking.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
Experience in multi-entity industrial, equipment, or field service environments preferred
CPA strongly preferred
Master’s degree or MBA may be preferred
Strong accounting and GAAP expertise
Analytical and mathematical proficiency
Detail-oriented with high accuracy standards
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Management and project leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively across teams
Research skills and ability to identify and seek necessary information
Sound judgment and decision-making capability
This position will sit remotely in San Francisco area with multi-site visits to our Platform Partners in the Westregion. 20-30% travel required.

COMPENSATION: $130,064 – $168,492 + bonus, dependent on experience and qualifications
