About The Role

Myticas Consulting is seeking an experienced Radio Access Network (RAN) Support Engineer to work on-site in Memphis, TN, as a resident engineer supporting a major telecommunications customer. You will be embedded with the customer’s operations team, focusing on Nokia RAN (Airscale/FlexiZone) environments and playing a key role in keeping a large-scale mobile network running reliably.

In this role, you will handle first-line troubleshooting and response for RAN issues, support change requests, migrations and upgrades, and coordinate with the wider care team. You will also maintain accurate network records, provide technical support to stakeholders, and help drive continuous improvement in network performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-level troubleshooting and response for anomalies found in RAN and BTS elements
• Raise and manage tickets with the care team for issues that cannot be resolved at first level
• Support activities, migrations, upgrades, and implement change requests on behalf of the customer
• Prepare and/or review Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for RAN activities, as applicable
• Participate in ORT/ATP, trials, feature testing, and product launches, as applicable
• Provide incident reports and KPI reports, as applicable
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and upgrades
• Lead trained contractors and BSS engineers during installation and integration of telecommunications equipment
  
  

Requirements

• Must be based within daily commuting distance of Memphis, Tennessee, United States, for an on-site role
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a RAN / BTS / RF engineer focused on Operations & Maintenance for mobile networks
• Operations & Maintenance experience with Nokia Airscale and FlexiZone (indoor and outdoor) BTS site solutions
• Hands-on experience using BTS element management interfaces such as web user interfaces, BTS Site Manager, and BTS CLI
• Experience using RAN troubleshooting and tracing tools such as Emil toolkit, DCAP, UTF, or 5G toolkit
• Experience with OSS applications such as CM Operation Manager, CM Editor, Workflow Tool, Software Manager, or monitoring applications
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience preparing and reviewing Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for RAN activities
• Experience leading trained contractors or BSS engineers during installation and integration of telecommunications equipment
• Experience providing incident reports and KPI reports to customers or internal stakeholders
• Experience participating in ORT/ATP, network migrations or upgrades, and new feature/product trials in mobile networks
