Optomi, in partnership with a leading technology-driven organization, is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team.

Position Summary: This role involves leading the quality assurance and testing efforts for the consumer products team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing testing scenarios, running manual and automated tests, and integrating testing pipelines into CI/CD workflows. The role requires collaboration with developers, product owners, and external teams to ensure high-quality product delivery. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the development of tools and libraries that enable rapid and scalable development.

What type of experience does the right candidate have:

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience creating and executing automated tests
  • Strong experience with AWS
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix-based systems
  • Experience testing back-end services and APIs
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Bash, or Powershell
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


What the responsibilities are of the right candidate:

  • Maintain and expand automated test infrastructure for embedded software products
  • Partner with developers to create, maintain, and execute automated integration and functional tests
  • Translate user stories into test scenarios and provide feedback to ensure testability
  • Create and execute end-to-end system integration and user acceptance tests
  • Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Work with product owners and users to execute user tests
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and API documentation
  • Assist in estimating scope and timelines for tasks, contributing to project planning
  • Ensure functionality consistency across multiple spoken languages
