The Project Manager, Games supports the full product lifecycle for the Games category, from initial concept through global market launch. This role coordinates across Product Development, Industrial Design, Brand, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and external contractors and manufacturing partners to keep programs on schedule and moving through key approval and production milestones. The position requires strong organizational skills, clear communication across functions and seniority levels, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-moving consumer products environment.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Timeline Management
Own the master project schedule for assigned titles, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and critical path milestones and driving resolution before issues impact delivery and escalating critical issues as needed.
Manage end-to-end project timelines for new game development and line extensions, coordinating across internal teams including Product Development, Industrial Design, Brand, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain.
Contribute to post-launch retrospectives and continuous improvement of project management processes and tools across the category.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as the single accountable integrator across internal teams and external partners (factories, licensors, vendors). Enforce response for all cross-timezone action items and ensure milestone handoff is completed across stakeholders.
Lead weekly cross-functional status meetings, distribute clear recaps and owners, track action items to closure, and escalate blockers appropriately.
Supply Chain & Manufacturing Alignment
Build and enforce a backward launch timeline from agreed retailer ship dates. Partner with sourcing and operations to align on tooling, manufacturing, and QA timelines in support of these ship dates and global launch dates.
Global & Regulatory Readiness
Support localization and regulatory compliance for international markets, including packaging, rules, and components. (International role; non-games.)
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate project documentation including briefs, approval workflows, sample trackers, and launch readiness checklists.
Qualifications
3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in consumer products, toys, games, publishing, or a related product-driven industry.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with overlapping timelines and competing priorities.
Strong working knowledge of product development lifecycles and manufacturing processes, ideally including overseas sourcing.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience maintaining project tracking tools (Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, or similar).
Proven record building systems for managing 50+ concurrent action items across multiple projects and time zones, with documented weekly reconciliation of open vs closed tasks.
Clear, confident communicator who can synthesize complex information for cross-functional and senior audiences.
Comfort operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where processes are still being built.
Experience working with international markets or global launch coordination is a plus.
PMP certification or equivalent training is a plus but not required.
