Kitchell is seeking an experienced Project Director to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. This employee-owner will establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and design teams; recruit, hire, train and develop Kitchell employees to their fullest potential; and take a lead role in business development, proposals, presentations, estimates, bids, and contract negotiations for assigned projects and clients throughout the Tucson metro area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Comply with and train assigned staff to comply with Kitchell procedures, strategic and long term goals.
Participate in development and implementation of Kitchell's strategic and long term
Recruit, hire, train, and develop Kitchell employees to their fullest potential. Conduct goal setting, performance, and salary reviews on a (minimum) annual
Monitor budget and operating plan for compliance with staff and
Maintain leadership role in Preconstruction Services on assigned
Monitor activities and operational issues, and facilitate understanding and resolution of
Oversee all administrative functions of project
Develop promotional materials, and attend functions and events to promote
Develop and maintain professional business relationships with clients, public officials, subcontractors,
Maintain knowledge of business and land development activities and municipal planning throughout region; plan and propose opportunities to
Education and Experience
Four year college degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related
In addition to the education, this job classification requires a minimum of fifteen years of experience in project management
Direct experience building and managing projects
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of development, construction, architecture, real estate, and marketing
Travel Requirement
Travel may be required up to 50% of the time.
