Procurement Manager – Indirect Services

A leading national services organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of indirect service categories, such as professional services, operational support services, marketing services, logistics, training, consultancy, and other outsourced service arrangements. This role offers strong visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to shape strategy, optimise supplier value, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies across a range of indirect service categories
• Lead sourcing activity, competitive events, negotiations and contract management
• Rationalise and optimise the supplier base to improve value, service quality and compliance
• Partner with Operations, Finance, Legal and other business stakeholders to understand needs and drive alignment
• Build business cases, insights and recommendations for senior leadership
• Support improvements in procurement reporting, analytics and process efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in category management with a focus on services procurement
• Proven delivery of savings and value across large or complex service categories
• High proficiency in Excel and confidence working with data and commercial analysis
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate clearly and credibly
• Experience working in fast‑paced, change‑driven environments

Preferred Experience

• Background managing outsourced services, consultancy, marketing services, logistics or other indirect service categories
• Familiarity with procurement systems, analytics tools or e‑sourcing platforms
• Experience coaching colleagues or improving procurement processes
• Understanding of commercial levers, contract structures and rebate or incentive models

First Six Months

• Build and socialise category strategies with key business partners
• Assess and streamline the supplier landscape to improve value and performance
• Launch early savings initiatives and service‑enhancement opportunities
• Establish supplier KPIs, scorecards and performance review cadence
• Support enhancements in procurement reporting, analytics and visibility

Compensation

• Salary: Circa $130,000 - $140,000
• Bonus: 10%
