We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead capital planning, project execution, and utilities management within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives while overseeing critical plant utility systems and cross-functional capital investments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a 1–5 year capital plan in partnership with Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Finance teams
Lead and execute capital projects focused on automation, safety improvements, quality enhancements, cost reduction, and production efficiency
Provide engineering leadership in automation and production design, driving innovative and forward-thinking solutions
Support plant operations through technical expertise and project leadership across multiple functions
Oversee plant utilities, ensuring reliable and compliant operation of systems including refrigeration, ammonia, nitrogen, steam, natural gas, and compressed air
Manage and develop the Utilities team to ensure optimal system performance and adherence to safety and regulatory standards
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and efficiency
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 3 years in food manufacturing
Experience managing multi-million dollar capital projects, including budgeting and long-term planning
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to operate at a strategic level
Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment
