Performance Engineer– Job Description 



  • Define and drive the enterprise performance engineering strategy to ensure applications are scalable, resilient, and optimized for high availability.

  • Architect and lead end-to-end performance testing solutions using tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter across distributed and microservices-based systems.

  • Establish performance standards, governance, and best practices across multiple engineering teams.

  • Leverage observability platforms such as Splunk, AppDynamics (AppD), and Grafana to analyze system behavior, detect anomalies, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

  • Partner with architecture, DevOps, and cloud engineering teams to design performance-optimized solutions in cloud and hybrid environments.

  • Drive capacity planning, workload modeling, and performance forecasting to ensure systems meet business SLAs and growth expectations.

  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous performance validation.

  • Lead root cause analysis of production performance issues and recommend architectural improvements.

  • Implement Chaos Engineering practices to validate system resilience and ensure applications can withstand unexpected failures and infrastructure disruptions.

  • Communicate performance insights, risks, and optimization strategies clearly to technical teams, product owners, and executive leadership.
