Information Systems Network Systems Administrator
IN-PERSON POSITION - LOCATED IN BREMEN, IN.
SUMMARY: Responsible for managing corporate network systems, resources, and access.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. These duties are not inclusive and additional duties may be assigned to the employee at any time.
Plan, configure, monitor, maintain, and manage the corporate networks and network file systems, including IP addressing, sub-netting, VLANs, etc.
Plan, configure, install, monitor, maintain, and manage the corporate network infrastructure hardware and software, including switches, access points, routers, cabling, etc.
Install, configure, maintain, monitor, and manage network servers, storage, and virtualization.
Install, configure, maintain, and manage Windows, Linux, and Mac systems as network resources.
Manage network, server, and client access licenses and service and support contracts.
Create and manage system permissions and user accounts.
Plan, configure, install, maintain, monitor, and manage regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Plan and implement upgrades in systems or infrastructure to achieve improvements, integrate new technology, or accommodate growth.
Prioritize problems and assess the impact of issues.
Lead helpdesk and support efforts.
Monitor IT industry for trends and technologies that may be useful for us and assess them for risks and opportunities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma with up to one year of practical experience including solid networking experience, specifically hardware, software, installation, and upgrades.
Advanced computer education training with knowledge of Fortinet, linux, Proxmox, and Microsoft systems and products preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
High School level math competency required.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must be a quick learner.
Advanced problem-solving skills and resolution capabilities are essential.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Carrying equipment and/or supplies up to 50 pounds, as needed.
Climbing stairs or ladders, as needed.
Walking between & from end to end within production buildings as far as 200 feet, as needed.
Driving between buildings on the company campus, as needed.
Operating pallet jack or scissor-lift, as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primary workstation is in a typical office environment with customary machines and equipment.
Occasional work in production environment for installation or maintenance.
