We are looking for a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves working primarily in civil litigation with a focus on personal injury, education-related sexual abuse cases, and general litigation matters. Based in Glendale, California, this position combines remote work flexibility with occasional in-person meetings to ensure seamless collaboration.
Responsibilities: • Manage litigation cases independently, including handling discovery, motions, and legal research. • Draft and review legal documents such as motions, discovery responses, and discovery requests using provided templates. • Conduct thorough investigations and analysis to support case strategies. • Collaborate with the team during in-person meetings once a week to discuss case progress and strategies. • Utilize software tools like Dropbox and Microsoft Office to organize and manage case files efficiently. • Ensure timely communication with clients and stakeholders to address case updates and inquiries. • Handle claim administration and manage complaint resolutions. • Participate in legal proceedings, including depositions and court appearances as needed. • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all case-related activities. • Provide input and recommendations for improving case workflows and processes. • Proven experience in civil litigation, including personal injury and education-related sexual abuse cases. • Proficiency in legal research and drafting motions, discovery requests, and responses. • Familiarity with software tools such as Dropbox, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat. • Strong communication skills for engaging with clients and team members effectively. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously. • Knowledge of claim administration and complaint handling processes. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate case documentation. • Adherence to legal and ethical standards in managing sensitive cases.
