POSITION PURPOSE:
The Junior Hospitality Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent across various roles within Cipriani’s restaurants, hospitality venues, and corporate operations. This role serves as a brand ambassador for Cipriani, ensuring that every candidate interaction reflects the company’s heritage, professionalism, and commitment to world class hospitality.
The junior recruiter partners closely with our lead recruiter to source and evaluate candidates who demonstrate strong service mentality, professionalism, and alignment with Cipriani’s culture of excellence. This role supports the recruitment function under the guidance of the recruitment team, assisting with high volume hourly hiring needs while ensuring alignment with Cipriani’s hiring standards and processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Source and attract qualified candidates through various channels including hospitality networks, job boards, social media platforms, referrals, industry events, and recruiting outreach.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of hospitality professionals for current and future staffing needs across restaurant, service, culinary, and operational roles.
Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications, service mentality, professionalism, and cultural alignment with Cipriani.
Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and organized interview process.
Conduct in depth candidate interviews evaluating relevant hospitality experience, service philosophy, communication skills, and overall fit with Cipriani’s guest focused environment.
Provide timely communication and feedback to candidates while delivering a professional, high touch candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ADP, LinkedIn, Indeed).
Partner closely with the lead recruiter to understand departmental staffing needs, role requirements, and ideal candidate profiles.
Assist in creating clear and compelling job descriptions and job postings aligned with company standards.
Prepare and present candidate summaries and hiring recommendations to lead recruiter in making informed hiring decisions.
Promote Cipriani’s brand, culture, and career opportunities to prospective candidates.
Represent the company at job fairs, hospitality networking events, and recruitment initiatives as needed to support talent pipeline development.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling candidate information and sensitive hiring discussions.
Support hiring initiatives related to seasonal staffing, new venue openings, and operational growth as needed.
Recruitment Process Support
Support and maintain Cipriani’s recruitment processes and standards to ensure consistency, professionalism, and efficiency throughout the hiring lifecycle.
Assist in managing candidate flow for hourly hospitality roles, ensuring candidates are properly screened and aligned with position requirements before advancing in the interview process.
Work closely with the lead recruiter to maintain organized hiring workflows, interview coordination, and timely communication with candidates and hiring managers.
Help ensure adherence to established recruitment procedures and hiring standards across departments.
Maintain professionalism and discretion when communicating with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Previous experience in recruiting, hospitality, human resources, or a related field preferred.
Experience recruiting within hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or luxury service environments is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing strategies, and candidate evaluation techniques.
Ability to identify candidates who demonstrate strong service mentality, professionalism, and alignment with a luxury hospitality environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both candidates and hiring managers.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple open roles and recruitment priorities simultaneously.
Ability to represent the Cipriani brand professionally and maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Proficiency using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), job boards, and recruitment tools.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to hiring practices.
Passion for hospitality and service excellence.
Flexibility in scheduling, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays when required to support recruiting initiatives or hiring events.
