Junior Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for a Junior AI/ML Engineer to support the design, deployment, and production-scale operation of machine learning systems on Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you’ll work closely with team members to deploy end-to-end ML pipelines, including data ingestion, model packaging, monitoring, and continuous improvement, while ensuring security, reliability, and scalability.

This is a full-time, onsite role located in Carlsbad, CA.

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of scalable ML systems using AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, security teams, and clients to understand and fulfill functional and compliance needs
• Monitor system performance and assist in identifying and resolving issues to improve reliability
• Help run pilot implementations, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution
• Provide support for deployed systems and contribute to ongoing improvements and maintenance efforts
• Build strong client relationships through high-quality technical delivery

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 1-3 years of academic, project, or professional experience in ML
• Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with AWS S3, EC2, Lambda, Bedrock, or SageMaker
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Python, Java, Go
• Familiarity with PyTorch or other ML frameworks
• AWS Certification (Machine Learning Engineer or CloudOps Engineer)

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $85,000 to $120,000
