Key Responsibilities

  • Systems Analysis & Design: Evaluate current IT infrastructure to identify bottlenecks and design, test, and implement new, cost-effective solutions.
  • End User Support: Troubleshoot, install, and configure systems—such as laptops, printers, and applications—to ensure optimal performance and user productivity, typically acting as the first line of help.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose hardware/software issues and maintain network stability, acting as an escalation point for help desk issues.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems and train employees on new processes.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure systems comply with safety standards and implement data security protocols.
  • Maintain and support computer networking infrastructure including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and switches.
  • Assist with computer hardware setup, upgrades, repairs, and inventory management.
  • Support help desk operations by logging incidents and requests using ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and implement new solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Knowledge of technical support practices for hardware and software issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft AD, Windows, and Office 365 platforms, network security, and commonly used software systems.
  • Analytical Abilities: High-level problem-solving and critical thinking skills to analyze, design, and optimize systems.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to act as a liaison between IT staff and non-technical staff or stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Experience overseeing projects from planning to implementation.
  • Must be able to travel by vehicle to multiple states for service, repairs, troubleshooting and technical installations.
