Description

HUDGINS DESIGN GROUP is a residential design firm based in the city of Laguna Beach, California specializing in high end contemporary residences across the US.

Hudgins Design Group is seeking a full-time interior architect/interior designer with 3-5 years of project management in architecture & interior architecture experience to come work at our Laguna Beach, California studio. This is an in-person role (not remote).

The ideal candidate for our design studio would be an outgoing individual with abilities in design, highly productive in SketchUp and Revit. Experience in luxury residential work is preferred.

Experience in all aspects of design and production. The candidate must be able to manage more than one project at one time-varying in size.

The qualified candidate will need to be enthusiastic, hard-working, well-organized, and highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The candidate should have experience in dealing with clients, vendors, and contractors. The candidate should have good design sense and be knowledgeable in creating construction documents.

The Interior Architect/Interior Designer will be responsible for all or some of the project phases such as; Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Custom Millwork Detail, and Shop Drawings Review.

Skills And Qualifications

  • 3–5 years full-time experience at an architecture or interior design firm
  • Skilled in coordinating/producing/managing CD sets and millwork drawings
  • Strong project management + consultant/contractor coordination in incuding reviewing contractor RFI’s
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with client + vendor relations
  • Knowledge of design resources (hard materials, millwork, plumbing, lighting, hardware, etc.)
  • Proficient in reviewing shop drawings and drafting interior plans, elevations and details in Revit
  • High end luxury residential experience a plus
  • MUST be highly Revit proficient and comfortable in SketchUp, Excel, In-Design, and Photoshop
