Role: IT Business Analyst

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid role - 3days Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Requirements:

  • Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and other elicitation techniques with various stakeholders (business users, subject matter experts, technical teams) to gather comprehensive business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyze and document current-state ("as-is") business processes
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Business Requirements, Functional Specification and process flow diagrams
  • Translate high-level business needs into detailed, unambiguous, and testable requirements specifications
  • Critically evaluate information gathered, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into detail, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true business needs
  • Partner with local and Head Office IT teams to understand system capabilities, features, limitations
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical leads to ensure proposed solutions align with business requirements and strategic objectives.
  • Participate in design sessions and provide input from a business perspective.
  • Review and validate technical designs and prototypes against documented requirements.
  • Define solution proposals based on information gathered from system SME’s taking into consideration system capabilities, features and functionality available and used by other platforms
  • Drive project deliverables managing timelines, and proactively resolving blockers
  • Escalate issues impacting the project in a clear concise and timely manner
  • Liaise with local and AMER compliance members on projects ensuring that subject matter experts and stakeholders are appropriately engaged
  • Make recommendations to improve effectiveness and overall process efficiency
  • Provide clear and concise project reporting to USIT management

Note:

  • Domain (must have) KYC / Client onboarding / Regulatory / Compliance Banking or capital markets experience Exposure to regulators (FINRA, Fed, etc.)
  • BA capability (core) : Writing: BRDs / FRDs and Functional specs with Creating: Process flows / Data flow diagrams
  • Data + technical edge (key differentiator) SQL + Python (data analysis) Power BI (or similar) for storytelling Ability to: Pull data, Reconcile across systems, Present insights
