Position Title: Project Manager (Healthcare)
Address: Fully remote, but able to come onsite in Boston for occasional meetings. 2x a quarter on site
Duration: 6-month contract to hire
Start Date: ASAP
Interviews: 1 round panel
Summary: You’ll be helping a healthcare client of Insight Global's manage the operational side of a massive organizational transformation effort. The communications team has a ton happening at once and needs a highly organized PM who can keep projects, messaging, approvals, and priorities moving while leadership decisions and timelines continue evolving in real time.
Day‑to‑Day
A large healthcare client is undergoing a large-scale organizational transformation initiative that impacts workforce operations, patient/family communications, physician communications, and broader internal change management efforts.
The organization needs a highly organized, politically savvy Project Manager who can sit at the intersection of communications, hospital operations, and transformation work. This person will help bring structure, tracking, prioritization, and operational rigor to a communications function that is currently overwhelmed by the volume and pace of transformation-related initiatives.
This person will function as the operational backbone of a highly visible transformation communications effort. Every day, they’ll sit alongside senior communications leadership helping manage dozens of moving pieces tied to organizational change initiatives happening across the institute.
One moment, they may be sitting in leadership meetings documenting action items, tracking dependencies, and organizing timelines across multiple transformation workstreams. The next, priorities may completely shift due to new executive decisions, operational delays, or changing rollout plans — requiring them to quickly reprioritize communications activities and realign teams without losing momentum.
A large part of the role revolves around creating structure where there currently is very little bandwidth. They’ll own trackers, organize presentations, coordinate review cycles, route materials through approvals, manage follow-ups, and ensure communications projects continue moving forward even as requirements evolve daily.
The team is also focused on balancing highly tactical operational messaging with more human-centered storytelling that reinforces mission, culture, and purpose throughout the transformation journey.
This person needs to thrive in ambiguity. Plans change constantly. Projects pause, restart, pivot, or evolve with little notice. The ideal candidate will not get rattled by that environment — they’ll bring calmness, organization, and confidence to the chaos while helping the team stay aligned and moving forward.
