Your Role & Responsibilities

You will serve as the execution engine behind the AI governance program—turning strategy and audit requirements into real, operational processes. Your work will include:

  • Leading implementation of enterprise AI governance frameworks, guardrails, and controls
  • Translating audit findings into actionable remediation plans and process improvements
  • Establishing risk models, oversight mechanisms, and compliance standards for AI/ML systems
  • Defining standards for AI, ML, and emerging agent technologies across the enterprise
  • Driving alignment among security, risk, legal, privacy, audit, and AI/data teams
  • Facilitating governance councils and cross-functional collaboration
  • Tracking, managing, and closing audit findings related to AI governance
  • Integrating AI governance requirements into broader risk and security frameworks
  • Owning end-to-end delivery of governance initiatives—from intake through execution
  • Providing regular visibility to leadership on progress, risks, and compliance gaps
  • Ensuring governance processes scale and mature as AI capabilities evolve

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

You don’t need to check every box to apply—strong candidates come from diverse backgrounds. Experience in the following areas will set you up for success:

  • 7+ years of experience in g overnance, risk & control program management , risk management, data governance, AI/ML, or related fields
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts, data ecosystems, and enterprise data workflows
  • Familiarity with risk, compliance, and governance frameworks
  • Experience working within large, matrixed organizations
  • Ability to lead without authority and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Strong communication skills—translating technical and risk concepts into business language
  • A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and builds structure where none exists
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to ask the right risk-focused questions
  • Experience managing complex initiatives in Agile environments

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with AI governance, data governance, or model risk management
  • Background in audit, compliance, or regulatory environments
  • Exposure to AI-enabled tools, agent-based systems, or data science workflows
  • Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira
  • Certifications in AI, data, security, or governance

Education & Certifications You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data science, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Relevant certifications are helpful but not required
